For my musical short film, "ጋረደኝ," I took on the roles of writer, director, and editor. The story follows two inmates connected through music, where their melodies transcend the physical walls of their jail cell, with one young man desperately trying to break free for love—only to face a tragic end. I worked closely with the actor to bring out the raw emotion of the character, ensuring that the music and performances conveyed the depth of the story, while as the editor, I shaped the pacing to build the film’s emotional intensity. This project, blending music with narrative, allowed me to explore cultural authenticity and the power of connection, earning a heartfelt response from audiences and marking another key step in my creative journey.

For the powerful short film "አስተውሎት," I had the honor of working closely with my university best friend, Yohannes Teferi, who wrote and directed the film. The story explores the profound themes of survival and hope in the face of suicidal thoughts, highlighting human resilience even in the darkest of times. While Yohannes crafted the narrative, I contributed as part of the team, working alongside him to bring the film's emotional depth to life, ensuring it resonates with anyone facing struggles. This project holds a special place in my heart, as it aims not only to entertain but also to inspire and provide hope to viewers.
