Art history is a subject that involves the analysis of many different studies. It is a dynamic course itself because it covers the work of global cultures and is a survey of several types of art: architecture, painting, sculpture, multimedia; the list of mediums is endless. Art is necessary in our contemporary society because we are able to look back at history we see how humans have evolved over time to combat natural or physical issues or express one's own ideas through visual media. Through the survey of art given in the course, we are able to see the many connections between cultures and societies, and how they have continued and changed over time.
