Used squash and stretch in conjunction with Speedy's bouncing
Built up the anticipation of Speedy launching off down the alley by using a shaking effect
Used pose to pose animation for most actions, but used straight ahead for the shaking effect before speedy shoots off down the lane
Situated most of the important action around the right third and center of the screen, as well as using a subtle depth of field effect to keep the viewer's eyes in the foreground
Made Bill fall much faster than speedy does to suggest his weight as being quite heavy
We open on a table with 2 balls situated in a bowling alley.
Bowling Ball Bill turns & gestures to a little ball, speedy.
Bill rolls off the edge, landing hard with a thud (no squash and stretch) while Speedy looks on.
Bill winds up, and takes off down the lane.
Strike sound, Speedy is startled
Speedy rolls off the table, bounces a LOT.
After coming to a rest, Speedy bounces around to prepare to take off down the lane.
On final landing, speedy stores up energy & bursts off down the lane
Single bowling pin toppling sound (ended up changing this to the squeak to make the contrast more clear).
