Most of the recent talk in the film industry have been about how "Avengers: Endgame" has set multiple records at the box office. The movie is set to break previous highs, beginning with an opening-day earning of $156.7 million. But this record-breaking run is already a given. The concepts and twists introduced in this concluding film of the 10-year phase in the MCU should be our main concern, as they have much implications on many Marvel characters’ plots and individual futures, says entertainment buff Mike Giuffrida.
For one, the unexpected death of Natasha Romanov greatly alters what we can expect from the upcoming standalone "Black Widow" movie. Many fans are now discussing in various Reddit threads and YouTube vlogs if the said film will now be an origin movie, a callout to the Budapest arc, or follow an alternative timeline of the character not related to the events of "Endgame."
Secondly, the killing off of Iron Man essentially completes the entire Avengers arc began a decade back. More importantly, it likewise opens the Avengers leadership to other members not named, well, Iron Man or Captain America. But this can wait; it may take a while before we see another "Avengers" movie, after all.
Outside the heated debates on the reveal of old Captain America’s, there’s also the impact of "Endgame" on the upcoming Spidey "Far from Home" film. One can’t help but ask if everyone in Peter Parker’s school had been wiped out in "Infinity War." Otherwise, not dealing with the time gap of five years until every character’s resurrection will be outright ridiculous, Mike Giuffrida adds.
