As required of my Media course, I had to produce a short film as my final project. We were recommended to make a 5-minute long film, however, I worked on a nearly 20-minute long film.
This was a bold move on my behalf as I was still somewhat inexperienced and wet behind the ears, never mind having no budget and working in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, after filming for two days and weeks of editing, I completed my debut, a psychological and social criticism about mental health, inspired by "The Smiler" at Alton Towers.
I loved working with the concept of a facility that can cure sadness but can't cure one patient.
However, I do wish to ReDux Sanctum of Joy to create it in the image I intended, but for now; I am proud of where I began in pure independent filmmaking.
