Michael Vlassopoulos

Welcome to my webpage. 

I am a Professor of Economics at the University of Southampton, a Research Associate at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), and a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Germany.

I am an applied microeconomist working in development and labor/education, with a focus on social interactions, networks, and spillovers. My recent research studies discrimination, network effects in education and crime, refugee integration, and mental health, using field experiments and quasi-experimental designs.
