As Senior Art Director for the Xi’an Virtuos team, I was tasked with overseeing the transition of our work to the Chengdu studio during the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order II project. I travelled frequently between Xi’an and Chengdu to ensure production quality, focusing particularly on lighting tests, as this was one of the first projects utilizing Lumen in Unreal Engine 5.
I coordinated closely with the client through regular meetings to review design quality and implement necessary changes, which I then relayed to my team. While stationed in Chengdu, I also gave lectures to artists working on other teams and projects, sharing insights and techniques. The project required me to spend several months living in a hotel, ensuring the seamless execution of our goals across both studios.
