For an art test, I was tasked with working alongside a Senior Artist to create three iconic vehicles for PowerWash Simulator: the DeLorean from Back to the Future, KITT from Knight Rider, and a Hawk helicopter. Each one was uniquely challenging and surprisingly satisfying to “wash” in the game. Unfortunately, due to licensing issues, the game was put on hold before these assets could go live. Since then, PowerWash Simulator has been fully developed and is doing well in the market, though my team moved on to new projects. We went from power-washing the past to joining the future with Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, where we continued creating cutting-edge assets and environments.
PowerWash Simulator is a unique and surprisingly relaxing simulation game that lets players take on the role of a professional power-washer. Developed by FuturLab, the game immerses players in the satisfying task of cleaning dirt, grime, and graffiti from various surfaces using high-pressure water. From patios and cars to playgrounds and houses, each level presents a different object or scene to clean, and every job comes with its own challenges, such as stubborn stains and hard-to-reach areas.
In PowerWash Simulator, players can choose from a range of nozzles, soaps, and equipment upgrades to make the job easier, allowing for a customizable and strategic cleaning approach. The game is designed to be both therapeutic and rewarding, as the once-filthy surfaces gradually transform into spotless, gleaming results.
The game features both single-player and cooperative multiplayer modes, letting friends team up to tackle larger jobs. Whether played for a few minutes or a few hours, PowerWash Simulator has become popular for its calming and immersive experience that taps into the universal satisfaction of making things shine.
