As part of my role overseeing a talented team at Original Force in Ningbo, I was involved in creating assets for EA Motive’s highly anticipated Iron Man game. Our team was responsible for building intricate machines and technology for Tony Stark’s iconic lab, bringing the futuristic environment to life. From detailed engineering tools to cutting-edge gadgets, we focused on delivering assets that captured the essence of Stark’s world and aligned with the game’s high-tech aesthetic. This project allowed us to push the boundaries of creative design while contributing to one of Marvel’s most beloved characters. I put my real mechanical workshop time to good use.
The upcoming Iron Man game from EA, currently in development at Motive Studio, is set to be a third-person, single-player action-adventure experience. The game will deliver an original story, allowing players to fully immerse themselves as Tony Stark and experience the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Iron Man. Olivier Proulx, who previously worked on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, is leading the development team, and Marvel Games is collaborating closely with EA to ensure the authenticity to the iconic character.
The game is still in early development, but players can expect a mix of innovative gameplay elements like aerial combat, ground mechanics, and rich storytelling. Motive Studio has a strong pedigree, having developed Star Wars: Squadrons and worked on the Dead Space remake, giving hope that this new Iron Man title will be a major success when it eventually releases.
