took all the bolts nuts and handtools and organized them onto the rack with proper labeling.

to the right is the problem-solving project board for our in-class project. Below is the problem-solving project board I created for my work process.
we created sop for the hydraulic lab to solve the problem of hoses being misorganized and help the machines stay operating conditions.
Mce 4 was about problem-solving. What is the problem, identify issues, and how could it be solved and improved on? There are 8 steps to the problem-solving process. Step 1 is to clarify the problem, what the ideal conditions are, what your current conditions are, and what the gap or the problem needs to be solved and fixed. Step 2 break down the problem, prioritize the problem, and break it down into a visualized process like a checklist and have your problem to solve. step 3 is to set the target, or what is the ideal condition you're working towards. Step 4 is finding the issue's root causes, "Why" is it like this? Steps 5 and 6 are to determine countermeasures and implement measures to be sure that the problem doesn't happen again and is constantly improved on. step 7 is to monitor the process/ results the right process would yield the correct results your working towards. step 8 is to standardize and create sop or labels.
For my work project, I organized poorly placed tools in the main tool cabinet as we had hand tools, sockets, nuts, and bolts everywhere. Wasting time to find tools as they weren't placed in an organized manner. Causing valuable work time to be wasted walking around the shop searching for the right socket, wrench or whatever it may be. we have many hand tools that get used daily and maintaining a level of organization in a shop could be hard to do. Has I was working on the project to help improve the way the tool cabinet looked my coworkers liked the idea of having designated spots for sockets and wrenches labeled by size. they felt it was a waste of time but once we started implementing this process everyone noticed how easy it is to find equipment. To implement and be sure we can keep organization, we've started to stop work 15 minutes early to give us time to clean and organize for the next day. The addition of labels and bins as helped out the work process greatly as we are less likely to stop and search for a certain tool for 20 minutes, it's placed in a labeled location now!
