Whatever they choose to work on during this personal interest time in advisory should be interesting, fun, or meaningful for them.

The project should encourage and enable advisees to fulfill the MICDS Mission to:
sustain self-directed inquiry of interest over the course of the year
appreciate the process of learning and pursuing a genuine interest
manage challenges with critical thinking and problem solving strategies
take pride in their accomplishments
share their experiences, skills, or progress with peers
