App: Mic to Bluetooth Speaker (iOS)
Effective date: October 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Mic to Bluetooth Speaker app ("the App", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We designed the App to work without an account and to keep your voice on your device.
Your voice and recordings are processed on your device. We do not upload, store or listen to your audio.
The App has no ads, no in-app purchases and no account or sign-in.
We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your personal information.
We collect limited, non-identifying diagnostic and usage data through Google Firebase to keep the App stable and improve it.
The App asks for microphone access so it can play your voice live through your phone or a connected speaker, and so you can record voice clips. Live audio is passed directly from the microphone to the selected audio output on your device and is not saved or transmitted. You can turn microphone access off at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone; the live mic and recorder will then stop working.
Recordings you make, and audio files you choose to import from the Files app, are stored only in the App's storage on your device. We have no access to them. They are removed if you delete them in the App or uninstall the App. If you choose to share a recording, it is sent using the iOS share sheet to the app or person you select; that sharing is controlled by you and by the receiving service's own privacy policy.
Speakers are paired in iOS Settings and selected through Apple's system audio output picker. The App does not scan for, collect or store information about nearby Bluetooth devices.
We use the following Google Firebase services, provided by Google LLC:
Firebase Crashlytics – crash reports (for example the error, device model, iOS version and app version at the time of a crash).
Firebase Performance Monitoring – performance data such as app start time and screen rendering times.
Google Analytics for Firebase – app usage events (for example which features are opened) and general device information.
Firebase Remote Config – used to check whether a newer version of the App is available.
These services use a random app-instance / installation identifier generated for the App. This data is not linked to your name, email or identity, and is not used for advertising or tracking. We do not access the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA), and advertising features of Google Analytics are disabled. Google may process your IP address to deliver these services and derive an approximate country or region; we do not receive your precise location.
We use this information only to fix crashes, measure performance, understand which features are used, and improve the App. Google's handling of this data is described at firebase.google.com/support/privacyand policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or the content of your audio.
Diagnostic and analytics data is kept by Google only for as long as needed for the purposes above, in line with Firebase's retention settings (for example, Crashlytics crash data is typically retained for about 90 days). Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.
You can revoke microphone access in iOS Settings at any time.
Uninstalling the App deletes all data stored by the App on your device and resets its app-instance identifier.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its processing. Because we cannot link Firebase data to you personally, we may be unable to identify data related to you, but you can contact us and we will help where we can.
The App is suitable for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data sent to Firebase is encrypted in transit. Your audio and recordings never leave your device unless you choose to share them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
