A fishing license is not required to fish.
No member shall bring nonmembers to the lake.
Only members and their immediate family may fish the lake.
Children of members under the age of 16 must be accompanied by their member parents.
All children of members over age 16 must be a member of IWLA Chapter 170 to fish and enjoy privileges.
Every member must carry and show their membership card to any member upon request while on IWLA property.
No member shall let a nonmember have their key for any reason.
Gates will be closed and locked as member enters and leaves the IWLA property.
No swimming is allowed in lake.
No firearms discharge allowed on the Miami IWLA Chapter 170 grounds.
No boats may be left on the property.
No metal stakes of any kind in the ground are permitted.
No camping or parking in boat launch area.
Remove any garbage created by you when you leave.
Alcoholic beverages are permitted if used responsibly.
Fires may only be built in metal or stone fire rings. No fires are allowed if Indiana issues warnings or burn bans due to drought and other fire risks.
Fireworks are not allowed on our property.
Camping is allowed in designated campsites only. There is no camping at the Chapter House.
Walleye 20 inch minimum length, limit 6 per day.
Frogs are closed.
Catfish 10 inch minimum length, limit 6 per day.
Bluegill, crappie and sunfish limit 25 per day.
Bass limit 6 per day.

History: The National Izaak Walton League of America, Inc. was incorporated January 19, 1922 in the state of Illinois. The Indiana Division of the Izaak Walton League of America, Inc. was organized in 1923. The Miami County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America, Inc. was organized April 25, 1940.
Constitution:
ARTICLE I - Name.
The name of this organization shall be the Miami County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Chapter".
ARTICLE II - Objectives.
Mission Statement
To promote the restoration and wise use of all renewable natural resources of our country, and especially the reservation of a suitable and abundant habitat for fish and game. This includes all water and all land, whether it be forest or open country. It is the primary duty of this Chapter to study and determine the best possible means of safeguarding these values locally.
(a) To educate the membership and public on Legislation designed to conserve and restore wildlife to our coverts and water.
(b) To educate the membership and public on the safe use and the value of the natural resources of this country.
(c) To provide financial support to 501c3 organizations for land conservation.
(d) Host events with 501c3 organizations and other nonprofits on Chapter property that support our Mission Statement.
(e) Let other 501c3 organizations and other nonprofits use our Chapter property that support our Mission Statement.
ARTICLE III - Membership.
Qualifications for membership in this Chapter shall be the following condition:
(a) The applicant shall be required to pay Chapter dues plus key deposit plus Indiana Division dues plus National dues at the time of application. Chapter dues and key deposit to be set at regular membership meeting with a majority vote of members present. Dues for the Indiana Division and National are set by their constitution and bylaws.
(b) No applicant shall be admitted by this Chapter until his application has one sponsor member's signature on the application. To be brought before the membership at the regular membership meeting with a majority vote of members present.
(c) All memberships are offered on a nondiscriminatory basic without regard to: race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, marriage or familial status, disability.
(d) All memberships are January first of current year to December 31 of current year.
(e) For first year membership can start after July to the next January First 1 1/2 year membership.
ARTICLE IV - Type of memberships.
(a) Regular, a single person with one vote.
(b) Family, two persons living as a family one vote to each head of family.
(c) Student, a person who is a full time student in a school and under age 18 a single person with one vote.
ARTICLE V - Meetings
Regular meetings of this Chapter shall convene at 7:30 P.M. on the second Wednesday of each month.
A quorum shall consist of five members; two shall be officers of the chapter.
Meetings shall be held in the Club House situated on the Chapter's property.
Special meetings may be called by the President, with approval of the Board of Directors. With minimum notification of 7 days before said meeting to members by and/or any: Mail, Email, Local Paper, Phone calls.
ARTICLE VI - Amendments.
This constitution may be amended or supplemented at the Chapter's regular membership meeting. Said amendments or supplements shall be acted upon separately. Requirements for adoption shall be a two-thirds vote of members present, at two consecutive regular meetings.
(a) This Constitution and By-Laws shall be reviewed every 5 years.
ARTICLE VII - Dissolution
All assets and properties are to go to the Indiana Division Izaak Walton League to start a new chapter in Miami County, Indiana. Failure to have a Indiana Division of the Izaak Walton League of America Inc. all assets and properties are to go to the National Division of the Izaak Walton League of America Inc.
BY - LAWS
ARTICLE I OFFICERS
The officers of the Miami County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America, Inc. shall be: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, State Director, Membership Dues Recipient (MDR) and three or more Chapter Directors.
ARTICLE II Power of Officers and Directors
Section 1. The Board of Directors shall constitute the governing body, and shall have general control over all officers and committees; and the management of the affairs and funds of the Chapter, and shall appoint all officers whose elections are not provided for herein.
President
Section 2. It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all meetings of this Chapter, and of the Board of Directors, and to perform such other duties as ordinarily pertain to the office.
Vice President
Section 3. It shall be the duty of the ice President in the absence of the President to preside at all meetings of this Chapter and to perform such other duties as ordinarily pertains to this office.
Secretary
Section 4. It shall be the duty of the Secretary to keep accurate record in permanent form of all business transacted, and to perform such other duties as may be prescribed from time to time by the Board of Directors.
Treasurer
Section 5. It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to receive all monies accruing to the Chapter, to deposit such funds as hereinafter prescribed, to account for same to this Chapter at its regular meetings and at any other time upon request of the Board of Directors. Upon his retirement from office he shall turn over to his successor, or to the President, all funds and property in his possession belonging to this Chapter, and shall perform such duties as ordinarily pertain to this office, or as further provided herein. The outgoing Treasurer shall remain in office until his successor shall qualify by giving an approved bond.
Membership Dues Recipient (MDR)
Section 6. It shall be the duty of the Membership Dues Recipient (MDR) to send renewal notices to the members. Keep a record of all members name and addresses. To receive monies and forward to the Treasurer in a timely manner. To fill out all membership forms to be sent to National Izaak Walton League of America inc. If there is no membership director duties can be assigned to any officer by the Board of Directors. Membership Dues Recipient (MDR) or person assigned to do the duties will have their renewal dues paid by the Chapter.
Article III - Funds
Section 1. All funds of this Chapter shall be deposited by the Treasurer in the name of the Miami County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America, Inc., in such bank of banks as may be designated by the Board of Directors.
Section 2. All disbursements of the funds of this Chapter shall be by check drawn by its Treasurer upon its deposit accounts, after such payments have been ordered by a vote of the members.
Section 3. Any person having charge or control of funds of this Chapter shall give bond as may be required by the Board of Directors for the safe custody of the funds of this Chapter. The cost of the bond shall be borne by this chapter.
Article IV
Nominations and Elections
Section 1. it shall be the duty of the President to appoint a nominating committee, consisting of at least three members at the July meeting of this Chapter. The duty of such committee shall be to place in nomination candidates for the elective offices of this Chapter at the August meeting and to accept nominations from the floor at this time. All nominations are closed after the nominations from the floor are ask for at the August meeting. The elections will then take place.
Section 2. The annual election of this Chapter shall take place at the regular August meeting of each year, at which time a President, Vice-president, a Secretary, a Treasurer, a State Director, Membership Director and Three Chapter Directors, shall be elected. All is to be for a period of one year, excepting Chapter Directors, this shall be for a period of three years.
Section 3. The above officers shall be installed at the end of the August meeting of this Chapter. Taking office after being installed as chapter officers.

Article VII
Impeachment
Section 1. In the event that any officer of the Miami County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America, Inc., be found guilty of any offense against this Chapter or any high crimes or misdemeanors of unpardonable nature, said officer may be impeached by a two-thirds majority of the members present on that meeting night. The Officer being tried on impeachment charges must be given a fair opportunity to defend in the matter by stating his case in his own behalf or by any member or members interceding for him. Impeachment charges may be brought against an officer by any member in good standing at any regular meeting and in an open manner. Complaint must be presented to the President or to the next officer in order, depending on who is being tried, in written form stating the grounds for complaint and signed by the member presenting the claim. In the event the officer in question is not present to defend himself, proper notification in writing must be making him and the impeachment proceedings carried over until the next meeting night. In the event he fails to attend his case will be determined in his absence. In the event the Officer is impeached, a member must immediately be elected in due form to fill his unexpired term.
Section 2. In the event that any member in good standing be found guilty of breaking his pledge of allegiance, voluntarily disregarding game laws, or in any other manner if his conduct is unbecoming to the purposes of the Chapter, he may be suspended for a definite period or be expelled permanently by a two-thirds majority vote of the members present at that regular meeting.
The method of procedure shall be identical with that outlined in Section 1 of this article, regarding impeachment of officers.
General Rules
The proceedings of this Chapter, its Directors and Committees shall be governed by and conducted according to the latest edition of Robert's Manual of Parliamentary Rules, except as otherwise provided.
Section 6. Declare Office Vacant - When any officer of the Chapter is absent for three consecutive regular meetings without being excused by the chapter, the President shall declare such office vacant and order an election to fill the vacancy. In the event the President of the Chapter shall have been absent for three consecutive meetings, without excuse from the Chapter, the Vice-president shall declare His office vacant and order an election as provided by law. If the Vice-president of the Chapter is not present, this duty shall be performed by the Directors.
