Macomb Center Show Choir Workshop
This summer workshop is for the advanced show choir members of Center Stage and Choraleers. It is scheduled for July 31st -August 6th, 2022. All advanced choir members are encouraged to attend. For those whose students have never been to Macomb, this is a wonderful opportunity to work with choreographers and the varsity choirs typically utilize some of the songs and choreography they learn at Macomb throughout the year.

Regional/State Honors Choir
The Regional on-line auditions will open September 6th and close on October 13th. The rehearsals and performances will take place in December. The fee to audition is $25 and, if selected, the fee to participate is $40. Participation in the State Honors Choir, if selected, is $100. Ms. Miller will help with the on-line submissions.
Musical Theatre Intensive
MSVMA will welcome 100 singers in grades 9-12 to the Musical Theatre Intensive on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Portage Central High School. Students will have the opportunity to sing for clinicians and participate in a variety of topic sessions. Audition video submissions are due September 20th, 2022 and the fee to participate is $65.

Vocal Jazz Intensive
MSVMA will welcome singers in grades 7-12 to our Vocal Jazz Intensive (VJI) on Thursday, October 20 at Forest Hills Northern High School. We are delighted to have an incredible panel of clinicians from around the state to help students and teachers learn about vocal jazz. Morning sessions will include topics on improvisation, circle singing, jazz warm-ups, and jazz vocal technique. Apply on-line by October 1st. The application fee is $25.

All-State Vocal Jazz Honors Choir
The All-State Jazz Choir will include up to 20 singers, who will have a day-long rehearsal on December 3 at Rockford High School, followed by rehearsal at the Michigan Music Conference (January 19-21). This will culminate in a performance at the Specialized Choral Hour at the J.W. Marriott Ballroom on Saturday, January 21, 2023. The choir will rehearse and perform on a sound system and with a professional rhythm section. Auditions will open November 4th and close on November 18th. The fee to audition is $25 and to participate is $200.

Musical Theatre Solo and Ensemble Festival
The Musical Theatre Solo and Ensemble Festival will take place on November 12th, 2022 at Oxford High School. Fees are $35 for soloists, $50 for duets, and $80 for Ensembles (3-20 Participants). Deadline for registration and payment is October 20. Ms. Miller and Ms. Weeks will help with registration, music selection and coaching for the event.
Michigan Thespian Festival
The MTF will be held in December. Ms. Weeks will help interested students with registration and preparation for the event.

District Solo and Ensemble Festival
The District 4 Solo and Ensemble Festival will be held January 27 and 28, 2023 (Friday 5 - 9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) at Milford HS. Registration opens on September 15, 2022 and closes on December 15, 2022. Fees for participation are: Solos $20, SE $30, LE $50.

District Choral Festival
The District 4 Choral Festival will be held Thursday, March 6 - 9th, 2023 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at TBD. Registration opens on October 15, 2021 and the cost per choir is $140.

International Thespian Festival
The ITF will be held at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN on June 19-23, 2023.
