The Methuen High School Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (JROTC) was established in 1994 through a partnership between Methuen Public Schools and the U.S. Army under the National Defense Act of 1916. Led by dedicated retired Army instructors, our program provides students with the structure, mentorship, and motivation to grow as leaders and citizens.
At Methuen High, our JROTC program empowers cadets to take pride in themselves, their school, and their community. Through leadership training, teamwork, and service opportunities, we challenge ourselves to lead with confidence, serve with integrity, and make a lasting difference in Methuen and beyond.
"To Motivate Young People to be Better Citizens"
We strive to become better leaders, teammates, and citizens every day. Through our lessons, community service, and leadership opportunities, our cadets learn the importance of respect, discipline, and responsibility. Whether we’re volunteering at local events, leading our peers, or representing our school with pride, we are building the skills and character to make a positive impact in our community and beyond. We believe that by challenging ourselves to lead with integrity and serve with purpose, we can shape a better future—together.
