About
What is JROTC?
The Junior Reserve Officer's Training Corps (JROTC) is organized under the authority of the National Defense Act of 1916. JROTC was established in Methuen High School by a contract between the Methuen Public Schools and the U.S. Army in 1994. Retired Army personnel serve as JROTC Army Instructors (AIs) and the Senior Army Instructor (SAI).
JROTC provides cadets with a sense of community among their fellow classmates. The program, as well as providing role models for younger cadets, molds cadets into better students and better citizens. While In JROTC, cadets have the opportunity to participate on teams and take part in activities which help them to become better members in the Methuen Community.
