SPE-DU is the official student chapter of Society of Petroleum Engineers at University of Dhaka, founded on 1 October 2007. As a non-profit, student-run professional organisation, it promotes exchange of technical knowledge related to petroleum exploration, development, and production. SPE-DU organises seminars, conferences, workshops, field visits, and competitions (e.g. debates, poster contests, petro-bowl) to engage and educate its members.
