Subspecialty: Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
Dr. Boal grew up in Connecticut and North Carolina. She graduated from Princeton University with a degree in History and a minor in Latin American Studies. She participated in a post-baccalaureate program at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She then moved to Boston for medical school at Boston University School of Medicine. She completed pediatric residency and then pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. During fellowship she participated in a clinical trial in pediatric solid tumors and leukemias at the Pediatric Oncology Branch of the National Cancer Institute in the National Institutes of Health. After completing fellowship, she returned to Boston to join the faculty in the MGHfC Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. At MGHfC, she manages patients on the hematology/oncology inpatient service and sees patients in outpatient clinic, mainly focusing on pediatric solid tumors, leukemias, lymphomas, and general hematology, with an interest in clinical research. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and 4 month old baby boy.
