Each fall our Intern class gathers together to learn and reflect on the first few months of residency. Recently, r our interns gathered at a local Boston spot to enjoy a session of Personal and Professional Development with Rob and Susan and enjoyed art therapy and painting "Monet's Water Lilies".
Our Juniors also have a full day retreat to bond, connect and discuss transitioning into leadership roles.
The Seniors celebrate the end of their time at MGfC with a day full of relaxing, barbecuing, and beautiful New England scenery.
Resident wellness is a priority for us! Some events sponsored by the Wellness Committee include: Friday nights on the Esplanade, a night at the new "Tall Ship" in East Boston, apple picking, an outdoor spin class on the East Boston waterfront, Yappy Hour at the Liberty Hotel, hiking at Blue Hills Reservation, trips to the aquarium and kayaking along the Charles River!
We not only love children as patients, but also when they're a part at of the MGfC family! Many of our residents have families of their own, started before and during residency, and we welcome them with open arms!
We love including the "next generation" of MGfC in our wellness events, such as bowling and holiday cookie decorating. Resident children are also always encouraged to attend graduation/end of year festivities!
Many of our residents are VERY active - from frequent flyers at barre or spin to running the Boston Marathon - many people find ways to fit in the 30-60 minutes of cardiovascular exercise that we all recommend to our patients! Ask us about running along the Charles or about our favorite classes in the Boston area!
Each spring the entire residency program gathers to celebrate the graduates, changing of roles, and award our residents and attendings for their amazing service the past year.
The interns and seniors also put together videos poking fun at various events that have happened over the past year!
