Specialty & Professional Interests: Palliative Care; Communication
Kate is a proud MA native who has been an attending physician on the MGfC Pediatric Supportive & Palliative Care team since 2020.
Kate graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2015 and went on to complete her pediatric residency and chief resident year at University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA. During her time at UMass, she gained an interest in caring for children with complex medical needs and serious illness, as well as a passion for medical education. Kate is a graduate of the Harvard Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship Program 2019-2020.
Kate loves the friendly and community feel of MGfC and spends much of her non-clinical time on medical education initiatives, including taking a lead on educating pediatric residents on various palliative care topics and communication skills.
Outside of work, you can find her running, hiking mountains, cheering on her favorite Boston sports teams or completing various DIY home projects
