Subspecialty: Hospitalist Medicine
Dr. Kung is originally from Farmington, Connecticut. She went to Harvard University where she studied biochemical sciences. She then escaped to the West Coast for medical school at the University of California San Francisco. She returned to Boston and did her residency in pediatrics at MGH, where she was so excited about the program that she stayed on for a year as chief resident. After residency she spent a few years learning about pediatric rehabilitation as director of the pediatric hospitalist program at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, MA. She also kept up her skills in community hospital medicine working at Emerson Hospital in Concord. In 2015 she returned to the MGH family as a hospitalist, while continuing to work at Emerson. Her professional interests include care of medically complex children, advocating for children and families from under-resourced communities, and medical education. When she is not in the hospital she enjoys spending time outdoors with her children, playing piano with them, and reading books on her Kindle.
