Ari Cohen, MD
Chief of Division
Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Dr. Cohen grew up outside NYC and despite living in Red Sox territory, he is still a Yankee fan. He went to medical school and undergraduate at the University of Chicago and did his residency and chief residency in pediatrics at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NY. He came to Boston for his fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital in Pediatric Emergency Medicine before taking a position at Mount Sinai in the pediatric ED. He returned to Boston in 2009 to become chief of pediatric emergency medicine at MGH. His research interests involve pediatric respiratory diseases, head trauma, and suicide prevention. Ari values his role in growing pediatric emergency medicine and MGfC within the Boston Area while preserving the close ties between the departments of emergency medicine and pediatrics.
