Privacy Policy for MBA Authenticator
Effective Date: 4/10/2026
Welcome to MBA Authenticator. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how MBA Authenticator handles information when you use our two-factor authentication (2FA) application.
MBA Authenticator is designed with a privacy-first approach. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share personal data with external servers. All sensitive information remains securely stored on your device.
MBA Authenticator does not collect any personal data.
Specifically, we do not collect:
Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number, etc.)
Authentication logs or usage history
Device identifiers
Location data
Analytics or tracking data
All data used by MBA Authenticator is stored locally on your device only.
This includes:
Two-factor authentication secrets (TOTP/HOTP keys)
Account labels and issuer names
App configuration settings
This data:
Never leaves your device
Is not transmitted to any servers
Is not accessible by us or any third parties
MBA Authenticator operates entirely offline.
We do not:
Operate backend servers for user data
Sync your authentication data to the cloud
Transmit any data externally
All authentication code generation happens directly on your device.
We take your security seriously by following best practices:
Data is stored using secure storage mechanisms provided by your device’s operating system
No external data transmission reduces exposure risks
The app is designed to minimize attack surfaces
However, please note:
The security of your device (PIN, password, biometrics) is your responsibility
If your device is compromised, your stored authentication data may also be at risk
MBA Authenticator does not generate or store logs of any kind.
This includes:
Login attempts
Generated authentication codes
App usage activity
Error or crash reports
MBA Authenticator does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
MBA Authenticator does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app is inherently compliant with child privacy protections.
Because all data is stored locally:
Users are responsible for backing up their authentication data if desired
Losing access to your device may result in permanent loss of your stored 2FA accounts
We strongly recommend maintaining backup codes provided by the services you secure with MBA Authenticator.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements or legal requirements.
Any changes will be:
Posted within the application or official distribution page
Effective immediately upon posting
