Movyans Skolyow Meythrin (MSM) was established in 2009 by parents/teachers with the aim of providing opportunities for children to learn about Cornwall's unique language, culture and heritage.

In 2010 MSM set up Skol Veythrin Karenza (SVK) in Pool, Redruth and over the next few years families came together to learn Cornish every weekend. SVK developed into a successful Cornish language early years centre, providing low cost and free childcare for up to four days a week. It was during this time that MSM supported the training of an Early Years Teacher through Cornish.

In 2015 MSM set up a Ty ha My playgroup in Camborne, based on the Ti ha Fi Welsh language play groups in Wales. MSM set up a Ty ha My in Helston during this time. Ty ha My Camborne developed into a childcare provision in 2017, which ran until 2019.
