Swaps

Our mission

From the ground up, we are creating spaces that allow the average community member to participate in environmentally sustainable practices in as simple a way as possible: showing up.

The goals for a swap are simple: bring something, take something, & have fun.

In an attempt to limit the amount of items that end up in landfills (which sometimes reach all the way across the world!!) we provide space to keep things in circulation within our community, all while having a great time meeting new people and checking out the products of our hosts.

Our swaps have been held at various locations around South East Michigan, from Black Box Gallery in Dearborn to Griffin Gardens in Detroit. Wherever we are, we're happy to see your face!

Don't have anything to bring? Join us anyways!

Our chief priority is fostering a community space centered around sustainability. There is always an excess of articles--be it clothing, books, plants, you name it--take what we have!

We'd prefer to end the event with nothing left, but if we do have extra we find a way to donate it to those who need it, or we keep it for the next event! Part of reducing the need for a landfill is allowing the things we grow and create to complete their natural lifecycle, whatever form that takes.

If you or someone you know has a need for art supplies, clothing, books, or other artifacts, we would be honored to partner with you to take the leftover articles from our next swap! Reach out to us and let's start planning~
