META is the Stanislaus County chapter of the California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE). META’s mission, aligned to that of CABE, is to support language learners, their educators, parents and communities to promote multilingual excellence in our schools and that prepare future generations of linguistically and culturally competent individuals to successfully engage in our diverse global society.

We invite Central Valley educators to join us for a day of learning, collaborating, networking, and celebrating as we explore the critical importance of investing in the creation of language friendly environments that honor and welcome every child’s language and culture in ensuring success for Emergent Multilingual Learners. Join us in learning how we can transform our pedagogy and practice to activate and make visible the genius of our students and to fully engage their unlimited potential.

The California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1976 to promote bilingual education and quality educational experiences for all students in California. CABE has chapters, members and affiliates, along with partnerships with other state and national advocacy organizations working to promote equity and student achievement for students with diverse cultural, racial, and linguistic backgrounds. CABE recognizes and honors the fact that we live in a rich multicultural, global society and that respect for diversity makes us a stronger state and nation.
