1. National Digital Library (NDL)

Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) has initiated the National Digital Library of India (NDL India) pilot project to develop a framework of virtual repository of learning resources with a single-window search facility. It includes   Educational materials ranging from primary to post-graguate level.

2. Internet Archive

Internet Archive is a non-profit library of millions of free books, movies, software, music, websites, and more. Its archive contains 

330 billion web pages

20 million books and texts

4.5 million audio recordings (including 180,000 live concerts)

4 million videos (including 1.6 million Television News programs)

3 million images

200,000 software programs

3. e-PG Pathashala

e-PG Pathshala is an initiative of the MHRD under its National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT) being executed by the UGC. A curriculum-based, interactive content in different subjects across all disciplines  is being developed under this initiative.

4. NPTEL 

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2003. The NPTEL is the Largest online repository in the world of courses in engineering, basic sciences and selected humanities and social sciences subjects. The Online web portal http://nptel.ac.in – more than 471 million+ views

5. Swayam:

SWAYAM is a programme initiated by Government of India and designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality. The objective of this effort is to take the best teaching learning resources to all. This platform provides all the courses, taught in classrooms and it is accessed by anyone, anywhere at any time.

6. Free eBooks - Project Gutenberg

Project Gutenberg is a library of over 60,000 free eBooks. Choose among free epub and Kindle eBooks, download them or read them online. You will find the world's great literature here, with focus on older works for which U.S. copyright has expired. Thousands of volunteers digitized and diligently proofread the eBooks, for enjoyment and education. No fee or registration! No special apps needed!  

7. DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals)

The Directory of Open Access Journals is a service that indexes high quality, peer reviewed Open Access research journals, periodicals and their articles' metadata. The Directory aims to be comprehensive and cover all open access academic journals that use an appropriate quality control system (see below for definitions) and is not limited to particular languages, geographical region, or subject areas. The Directory aims to increase the visibility and ease of use of open access academic journals—regardless of size and country of origin—thereby promoting their visibility, usage and impact. 

8. NISCAIR Online Periodicals Repository

This repository of periodicals provide access to full text articles from research journals published by CSIR-NISCAIR! Full text facility is provided for all nineteen research journals viz. ALIS, AIR, BVAAP, IJBB, IJBT, IJCA, IJCB, IJCT, IJEB, IJEMS, IJFTR, IJMS, IJNPR, IJPAP, IJRSP, IJTK, JIPR, JSIR & JST. NOPR also hosts three Popular Science Magazines viz. Science Reporter (SR), Vigyan Pragati (VP) & Science Ki Duniya (SKD) and a Natural Products Repository (NPARR). 

9. JournalTOCs 

JournalTOCs is a Current Awareness Service (CAS) where you can discover the newest papers coming directly from the publishers as soon as they have been published online. JournalTOCs is the biggest searchable collection of scholarly journal Tables of Contents (TOCs). It contains articles' metadata of TOCs for over 33,659 journals directly collected from over 3508 publishers. 

10. World Digital Library

The World Digital Library (WDL) is a project of the U.S. Library of Congress, carried out with the support of the United Nations Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (UNESCO), and in cooperation with libraries, archives, museums, educational institutions, and international organizations from around the world. It Search 19,147 items about 193 countries between 8000 BCE and 2000.
