Who am I? I am Doctor Alistar Blackwell, scholar, metaphysician, and owner of the Mesonoxian Archives, one of the largest libraries of forbidden knowledge throughout the Mists. The Archives are a repository of books and scrolls from across many different lands and realms, many of them things that are best kept hidden from the wider worlds for the terrible secrets they keep. Of course, we contain a vast catalogue of rather mundane subjects as well, but that's not why you're here, is it?

My great-grandfather built the library in our ancestral home more than a century ago, tasking our family to keeping this knowledge safe from those who would use it to harm others. The task has fallen to me, but I am an old man now and the process of collecting such material and securing it is a rigorous one. Perhaps we can work out an accord?
