I started to get fascinated by the world of microbes since my diploma study in Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). The curiosity to explore the scientific findings behind them had led me to the path where I am today which I had successfully received my bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from University of Malaya (UM) in 2020. Throughout my final year project of undergraduate study, I managed to purify a semi-purified antimicrobial peptide which was naturally synthesized by lactic acid bacteria (LAB) strain. The exposure towards the use of bioreactor for mass production of antimicrobial peptides had captivated my interest to work with upstream and downstream processes. This had led me to perform my internship training under the same supervisor which I am currently pursuing my master’s degree since the research field is related to the bio-process development of biological products. The research is focusing on the feasibility of diafiltration system in facilitating the refolding pathway for protein streptavidin (SAV).
