The best thing parents can do to support their children is to ask about their learning and their topic. Often students focus on the product/ outcome, but the learning, process and the topic are the most important part of this journey.
One question which students should be able to answer confidently is "So what have you learnt about your Global Context?"
Lastly - this is an independent project, but students can definitely use you as a resource, through formal interviews. They should also not be asking you for money, (though you can always give them work/chores to earn money if they need any).
