2/7/25 — I am happy to announce that I, along with my co-authors Ally Britton-Heitz and Kylie Mullis, have been published in Praxis, a writing center journal. Our article, "How the Lack of Cohesion in University AI Policy Poses Challenges to Writing Consultants," covers emerging challenges in the field of writing center studies and how consultants are challenged to adapt in a time of flux. 7/6/24 — The Society of Professional Journalists recently announced its 2024 awards. I was so excited to learn that I have been selected as SPJ Ohio's choice for the Best College Opinion Writing (!!!) It really is an honor to receive such wonderful feedback from professionals as I continue to learn more as a student journalist and Opinion columnist with the Cincinnati Enquirer.
6/3/24 — This summer, I am interning with the Cincinnati Enquirer as the newspaper's first Opinion intern! As I report on city government, national politics, and everything else in between, follow along my column here.
2/20/24 — Today, I appeared in the Wall Street Journal's Future View column for my second time in my college career. Future View is a weekly contest held by the Wall Street Journal opinion section in which college students respond to a current events topic with a 250-word Op-Ed describing their take. I wrote about the issue of gerontocracy and the ramifications gerontocracy has for the 2024 presidential election. I really love having this opportunity to share my opinion articles on a national scale, and it's always a fun writing exercise to enter the Future View weekly topics!
11/22/23 — This week, I have published two Op-ed articles regarding Kentucky's 2023 gubernatorial election: one in Lexington Herald-Leader and one in Cincinnati Enquirer. While I focus my Lexington Herald-Leader opinion piece on the decisive role of the youth vote in electing Gov. Beshear, I focus my Enquirer opinion piece on how character made the Democratic nominee stand out.
