Norm(s) of Design Language is an open-source educational comic aimed at non-English majoring students. This project is designed to make design principles more accessible and engaging through the art of storytelling. The project includes three chapters, each focusing on different aspects of design principles. An interactive version of the comic is also available upon request.
Recently, both versions have been utilized in a quasi-experimental study for a master's thesis. Prototypes of the comic have been used in the study, and the design has been finalized after the research. It was also exhibited at the LDC Online Comics Fair 2025.
English for Design teachers in EMI or non-English contexts are invited to conduct case studies using this comic. This resource is also applicable to interaction design and other associated areas of study.
