Carol Vickers

My name is Carol Vickers, and I am a Human Ecology teacher at Foga Road High School, which is located in Denbigh, Clarendon. I have served as an educator for over 25 years and currently serve as the sixth form Coordinator. I am also a certified NCTVET assessor and internal verifier. "Life never stands still." There is always something more to do or see. This propels me to be a part of the cohort 7 mentorship training to develop professionally.

Being a dedicated educator for so many years, I have realized that when you are passionate about your pursuit, your ability to remain passionate about what you stand for is the ultimate enabler for your success. As a Human Ecology teacher, I tried to inspire my students to achieve their full potential by fostering a passion for learning and personal growth. I believe in empowering my students at all levels. This helps them to be more responsible, confident, and focused to take on a task and be able to make their own decision in getting the task done. This empowerment encourages innovation and accountability, which usually leads to better performance outcomes among my students.
