As much as we like to ignore it, our mental health is a crucial part of our overall well-being and needs to be cared for just as much as our physical health. We must come together as a community to help one another open our eyes to everyone's mental needs and to break the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
We hope by joining the HOSA mental health promotion regional competition that our communities, schools, and work environments, can evolve to be more accommodating to the mental health of all for the prosperity of the future.
The overall goal in our social media campaign is to raise awareness about self care and mental relief. We strive to provide information and resources on subjects like burnout, fatigue, feeling overwhelmed, and negative mentality. In this way, we can provide the necessary protective factors to avoid mental risk factors.
Everyone gets tired at some point but at schools, work places, and social spaces it became increasingly clear to us that a similar issue was rampant among these spaces. From teenagers to adults and elderly, exhaustion plagued their daily life and we saw that they often didn't have the tools to properly deal with the fatigue that sets in over time in unsatisfying routines. So, we set out to educate ourselves and others in the methods of self care and mental wellness to ultimately improve our communities together.
