Lake Public Access

Boat Launch:

There is a public access path to the right of the beach. The public may use this to access the water. The path may be utilized for loading and unloading of boats but there is no parking. All vehicles must park in the parking lot across the street. This access path is also a fire lane and must remain clear at all times for emergency access to the lake.

There is no public boat launch for motorized watercraft or access for trailers on Lake Nipmuc. The access path next to the beach is for small kayaks and canoes only.

Fishing:

Much of the shoreline is private property. There is no fishing permitted at the Town Beach or within the bounds of the swimming area. You are welcome to use the public access path to access the water and take a small boat out on the lake.

Ice Fishing/skating: Please use extreme caution during the winter months. The lake does not freeze regularly or evenly and due to shallow depths and currents the ice can be unstable. Any use of the lake is at your own risk.
