Exploring the Effects Covid-19 has on College Learning Environments and College Students
Abstract:
This article explores the effects of the Covid-19 related changes to undergraduate students’ learning environment. I analyzed the results by color-coding the qualitative data and taking percentages from my data collection survey to analyze my quantitative data. I discuss how varying factors such as academics-induced anxiety and the switch to remote learning have affected the perceived mental health and the grades of undergraduate students. The article concludes by declaring that the majority of participants reported an increase in academics-induced anxiety and a decrease in grades. The probable causes of these changes are due to the Covid-19 related changes to participants’ learning environment and the switch to remote learning.
