A man who drowns in regrets, Muyang watches his parents die with the feeling of helplessness that he was unable to prevent it. Within his mother's eyes, he sees hatred, he thinks. And so, Muyang lives with the past consuming him, closed up and cold. No one close to him and therefore, no one to lose. He is a ghost trapped inside its former shell.

He served under the late 489 of the Three Heavens Triad, Ren Guiying. Alongside him is his lifelong childhood friend, Zhao Lingyun— which he eventually co-leads with... after Guiying's death.

Shu-Hui, the bastard child of an affair, grew up in an orphanage after being left behind by his Mother. As a kid, he had to learn what despair and hatred felt like. From then on, he lives as though the whole world was against him. The only one to crack this exterior is his fellow orphan and lifelong childhood friend, Yize.

Without any proper guidance, Shu-Hui eventually strays down a dark path. 

Learning that information and words were everything to gain control, he becomes an independent intel broker for shady figures. Getting caught eventually due to a tip-off, Shu-Hui is made to serve the authorities in exchange for a clean record.
