Melogen is designed to respect your privacy. We do not require account registration and do not directly collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or contact details. However, we may collect limited technical and device-related data as described in this Privacy Policy.
Melogen allows users to generate music using two modes:
Instrumental Mode: You select preferences such as genre, mood, energy, production style, duration, and instruments.
With Lyrics Mode: You may provide your own lyrics or a prompt to generate lyrics using AI.
These inputs are converted into text-based prompts and used solely to generate music content. Generated files are saved locally on your device.
To provide music and lyrics generation, we use third-party AI services:
Music Generation: Processed using a third-party open-source model (ACE-Step) hosted on our infrastructure.
Lyrics Generation: Processed via OpenAI's services.
We share only prompt data and necessary technical parameters, which do not include personal identifiers. Data is transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption. AI providers process this data only to generate the requested output and do not receive identifying user information from us. We do not store your prompts or generated outputs on our servers; generated files are saved locally on your device.
We collect limited data to operate, improve, and secure the App. We do not serve ads, use advertising networks, or collect device advertising identifiers (such as AAID or IDFA).
Device Identifiers: Pseudonymous identifiers (Firebase Installation ID and app-instance ID) used to power analytics and diagnostics through Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics). Retained only as long as necessary for these purposes.
Usage & Diagnostics Data: Information about how you interact with the App (e.g., selected options, features used, session duration) together with crash logs and performance data. Used to understand engagement, monitor performance, and fix issues. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you.
Purchase Validation Data: Transaction receipts or IDs provided by the app stores, used solely to validate purchases and restore subscription access. Retained as required to validate transactions and comply with legal obligations.
We do not collect or store sensitive personal data such as names, emails, or payment card details. Google processes Firebase data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
Melogen offers a single paid subscription. All billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store under their own terms and policies. We do not collect, process, or store your payment information (e.g., credit/debit card details). We receive only the limited transaction data described in Section 3, solely to validate purchases and restore access.
We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the App, each processing data in accordance with its own privacy policy:
ACE-Step — music generation (hosted on our infrastructure)
OpenAI — lyrics generation
Google Firebase — analytics and diagnostics
Apple App Store / Google Play Store — payments and subscriptions
Local Storage: Generated music files and related data are stored on your device. You can delete individual songs at any time within the App. On iOS, uninstalling the App also removes the music files it has saved. On Android, these files may remain in your device's storage after uninstalling and may become accessible again if you reinstall the App.
Secure Transmission: Data sent to our servers or AI providers is encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols.
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect data, but no system can be completely secure.
Depending on your location, you may have certain privacy rights.
You can delete your generated songs at any time within the App, which is the most reliable way to remove them. On iOS, uninstalling the App also removes these files; on Android, they may remain on your device after uninstalling.
You can opt out of analytics collection through your device settings where available.
Since no accounts are used, we generally cannot associate collected data with a specific individual.
Melogen is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
We may update the Privacy Policy from time to time. When material changes occur, we will notify you within the App, and your continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
