Ancient-Future Veil: Intelligence Epochs
In Daoism, ‘Dao’ is considered the origin of all things, existing before time and space. Throughout history, all things have been governed and dominated by the 'Dao.’ Even though we cannot see the 'Dao' and find it challenging to imagine its specific characteristics, we can recognise its existence through the development patterns of everything from ancient times to the present. We can feel this 'mysterious force' governing the world's evolution, overseeing all things' growth, reproduction, decline, and demise.
As Wang Bi stated in his commentary on the ‘Dao De Jing’: 'The formless and nameless is the origin of all things. Although the present and the past differ, with changing times and shifting customs, all are governed by this to achieve their order. Therefore, one can grasp the ancient Dao to deal with present situations. Although ancient times are distant, the Dao persists, so even now, we can understand the beginnings of antiquity. ' The formless and imageless Artificial Intelligence (AI) is exploring and developing wisdom and power that transcends human cognition. Given that humans are products of the 'Dao's' natural development, would the cognition, judgment, future decision-making, and future impact on civilisation created by AI also manifest and embody the 'Dao' in the digital world? Is the rise and fall of AI predetermined in the natural world?

Using binary code, the artist encoded information into the hexagrams of the ‘Book of Changes.’ Drawing on the text of the ‘Dao De Jing’ and grounded in Daoist philosophy, the artist crafted words of wisdom based on this binary foundation.
