In Eastern philosophy, "Qi" is considered as the fundamental element of everything in the world. Be it medicine, literature, music, or visual arts, they all emphasize respect for "Qi". The ancients used "Qi" to explain the laws of the universe and explore the relationship between humans and nature.
In contrast, the West has its own set of philosophical concepts known as "Natural Philosophy," which serves as the cornerstone of modern "Natural Science." It mainly considers the philosophical issues of mankind and nature and objectively analyzes the laws of everything from a scientific point of view, using a logical system different from the East.
My artwork combines the philosophy of East and West with physics. Specifically, it explores the Eastern aesthetics of "Lively" and the Western concept of "Electromagnetic force," which is one of the four basic forces of physics. Using the force of nature, specifically "magnetic field lines," as a brush, I aim to create a unique visual representation of nature.
The magnetic field itself is a vector field with direction and strength, very close to the Eastern philosophy's understanding of "qi" in the natural world. My artworks aim to present the magnetic field track that is not visible to the naked eye. Through artistic techniques, I aim to record and preserve the instantaneous flow of "Qi Yun" and create a stunning visual representation of the Eastern and Western philosophical concepts of nature.
“But ever since the dawn of civilization, people have not been content to see events as unconnected and inexplicable. They have craved an understanding of the underlying order in the world. Today we still yearn to know why we are here and where we come from. Humanity's deepest desire for knowledge is justification enough for our continuing quest.”

A Brief History of Time
