More about ...

... my research interests

I am following and particularly interested in women in economics (in academia, or high-ranked positions), and very enthusiastic about any research opportunities on this topic.

For instance, towards the end of my PhD, I gave a talk on 'Where are all the women in Economics?' at the Lunch with the Economist, a seminar series led by Peter Backus at the University of Manchester. The aim of the seminar series is to engage undergraduate students with recent research and developments in Economics. Previously, I wrote a blog post about women on women's day for the open economics blog for PhD students at the University of Manchester. You can read the blog post here.

I was also one of the organisers of the Women In Economics Day at the University of Manchester, which took place on December 6, 2017. This one-day event aims to present different aspects of the discipline and to promote young women to consider studying Economics at higher levels. I along with co-organisers wrote a short piece describing how we managed the day. It appeared on the RES Newsletter Issue 180 in January 2018 under "Reaching out to schools".
