There are over 2000 Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention centers. These centers were created for holding individuals suspected of visa violations, illegal entry, or individuals who are subject for deportation and removal of the country.

Lately the families held in these camps have been subject to a not-so-friendly environment. Many people who were held in the detention centers have spoken out about the cruelty they faced everyday. Starvation, violence, kids being taken away from their families inside the centers and lack of receiving hygiene products are some of the few things reported.

This is inhumane and we should do something about it because no family should be torn apart by the hands of strangers.
