Large Projects...

This is where my larger artwork lives! These pieces are often the ones where I cant help but to sit down and focus on for hours at a time, once I've started its usually hard for me to stop.

A Magical Meeting

In the fog of a timeless forest, a meeting between two inquisitive creatures occurs.

This piece started as experimental as I was trying out a theory I read about. I was always nervous about lining and coloring my art and this project helped me overcome that fear!

Nature's Mercy

Reunited in another form, is this tragedy or another chance?

This piece was actually supposed to be completely different! The whole family was supposed to be alive and well in a serene setting, but I decided to do a bit of an experiment with transparent images and a skull study. I ended up sitting and finishing it within the same day I started it and it only took about 8 hours!

The Connection of Myth

This was a piece created for a mythology class I attended in the autumn of 2023.

I had done a project on the influences of Hindu mythology on Cambodian mythology and focused on the Cambodian creation myth with Preah Thaong, who in other versions was actually the Hindu god Indra, and Neang Neak, a naga princess from Kuk-Thlok. I also provided imagery of the seven-headed naga, appearing in Hindu and Cambodian myth. As well as the diety/malicious figure Rahu/Reahu who chases the moon and sun in a quest to swallow them, which is depicted here.

Silly Doodles!

I don't always create large, time consuming pieces! Whenever I need a bit of a brain break, I turn to making small little doodles or mini pieces to get those creative juices flowing on a smaller scale.

Melly the Jackalope!

I started my art career like many artists: on social media. And just like a good number of these talented individuals, I made my own art persona to portray myself to my audience. After much experimentation, I ended up with this plush little jackalope gal and went by the artist tag: Mythicmel!

Dungeons and Dragons Creations

I recently started a Dungeons and Dragons group as a Dungeon Master and as a little present to my players, I've created player tokens for them to enjoy! They were all personalized to their character, as well as their preferred art style, and I worked closely with each individual to make the best token I could for them.
