GPH Ispat Limited

We received a three-week internship program, which is a noncredit course (ME 370) at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). The training program was organized by the ME Department of BUET with the collaboration of GPH Ispat Limited. We started our internship on 20 January 2020 and ended on 09 February 2020. We worked as interns in the Manufacturing Plant. During our stay, we visited all the plants and facilities. We were introduced to different machinery and manufacturing processes of mild steel. The supporting utility plants were also introduced to us in a very descriptive way. We were also asked to give a presentation on the whole manufacturing process in their Manufacturing Plant. Later, we submitted a report and gave a presentation on our experience and learning to the ME Department for evaluation. 

Working with GPH Ispat Limited during our time as mechanical engineering students has been an invaluable experience. We have been left in awe by the practical implementation of the ideas and the wide-ranging effects of these technologies. We have had a taste of what it's like to be an engineer after completing the 21-day training course. Our visit to a mega-industry filled with machines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems,  arc furnaces, lifts, cranes, and various other mechanical equipment was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
