Experience

In this practicum, the goal was to observe in many different grades and classrooms, while not teaching at all. For about three hours once a week, I got the opportunity to observe the students and the teachers. It was a great experience to see if elementary teaching was the right choice before I got too far in my education. 

In this 70 hour practicum, I was placed in a grade four classroom for the entirety of the practicum. This helped develop my teaching a lot.  I was able to teach 5 lessons, and get critical feedback from my associate teacher. I was able to work with the whole class, and with individual students from time to time. This was an eye-opening experience, I really appreciated my experience. I definitely chose the right career!
