Urban trees can support biodiversity, provide ecosystem services and contribute to people's experience of cities. My PhD explores these ecological and cultural roles in Coventry, using a combination of biodiversity surveys, bioacoustic monitoring and a questionnaire of local residents.

My PhD aims to evaluate the ecological and cultural importance of urban trees in Coventry.

💬 Explore public perceptions and cultural ecosystem services associated with urban trees in Coventry.

🌳 Combine ecological and cultural data with Coventry’s i-Tree Eco survey to assess the wider value of urban trees across the city.

Urban trees support wildlife while also providing benefits that influence how people experience and value their local environment. Understanding both their ecological and cultural importance can support more informed planning and management of urban trees.
