I recently attended the World Biodiversity Forum in Davos, Switzerland (June 2026), where I presented a poster on my research so far. This included results from bird and bat bioacoustics.
In May 2026, I won Coventry University's 3 Minute Thesis competition. I will now go on to represent the university in subsequent rounds of the national competition.
I have worked with The Brilliant Club for a number of years now. In this role, I have created my own course based on my PhD research, which I have delivered to both KS4 and KS5 students in various schools. The Brilliant Club aims to encourage pupils from state schools to apply to top universities, because talent is everywhere but opportunity is not.
In April 2025, I participated in Coventry University's Researcher Capability and Development Conference. I presented in a PechaKucha format, which allowed only 20 seconds of talking per slide. This really enhanced my time management skills!
I also took part in the annual 3 Minute Thesis competition, where I was runner up. This involved presenting my research to a general audience in just 3 minutes.
In December 2024, I presented a poster at the British Ecological Society Annual Meeting. My poster included preliminary research on bird bioacoustic activity in Coventry.
