Katy Perry California Gurls
Introduction:
Whether it's to what you say in a sexual way to how you present yourself with it, there's many concepts on ways you can attract the audience. Women use there selves sometimes to dominate men and to create more of a better visual representation of their bodies and that could be scary for some viewers. Some may or may not like it, but this is one way women can also get themselves with trouble. Katy Perry has a lot of outfit, makeup, and hairstyle changes. With that there are plenty of scenes to give us a clear representation of not just only her but with the other women that we're by her side. Certain locations are used in the music video portray surrealism
Background:
In the beginning of the music video a box of a candy world opens, while Snoop is basically being in control of the women that are playing in the game. This screams how men having control over us. As soon as Katy gets done helping her friends out from the being trapped in different places of the sweet obstacles, at the end she begins to take control over the gummi bears. The gummi bears we can say are representing as the helpers for Snoop. After Katy gets done with attacking the bears, she basically defeated the game and gained her power.
In this snip Katy Perry is lying down in some cotton candy clouds where parts of it are covering up private areas. Not only is she showing a bit of skin but the angels the producers recorded are more depth and how close they are to her. This attracts more attention to viewers and makes everything more visible to see. The lighting of the video is pretty bright for some viewers but this only helps with making the video stand out more and having a better site seeing of her skin for example.

This picture shows each women having a different outfit but not only they are dressed in their sweet outfits for the video but some have a clear representation of what breasts look like. Even from the way they are dancing, it definitely gives it more of a sexy touch.
Conclusion:
Comparing this to Kilbourne's article we distinguish the concept of how women can get betrayed just for how they look and express their bodies. Media messages about sex and sexuality often exploit women's bodies and glamorize sexual violence. She states that pornographic advertising is promoting male dominance over women, and in return promoting male violence against women. This has always been a problem; she states including media making is worse. From both of our point of views, are main focus is on strong and independent women who will understand our point about the use of degrading pornography in music videos, commercials, ads and so on.
