The University Center of Exact Sciences and Engineering (CUCEI in spanish), is one of the thematic centers that make up the University Network of Jalisco, serving more than 15,000 students to date through 18 bachelor's degrees and 20 postgraduate degrees.

Through a departmental organizational model, it develops and generates knowledge as a central element for the fulfillment of its teaching, research and university extension functions.

It groups and directs 12 departments through the divisions of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Electronics and Computing. 527 full-time professors participate in them, of which 169 are part of the National System of Researchers (SNI in spanish). Therefore, CUCEI stands out as one of the university centers with the highest quality of its academic staff.

The number of research projects is growing and their coordination with teaching projects has allowed, among other things, that 93% of postgraduate programs belong to the National Register of Quality Postgraduate Programs (PNPC in spanish) and that the degrees are accredited for its quality.

Through popular articles, conferences, workshops, conferences and our participation in the knowledge Olympics, we contribute to scientific and cultural dissemination among students and the general population.
