Who we are
Risenote is provided by Theo Kramer. For support, privacy questions, or data requests, contact theo.kramer.bus@gmail.com.
Meeting content and AI processing
Risenote stores your saved recordings, transcripts, summaries, tasks, and chat history on your device. Cloud features also send content outside your device: audio is streamed to AssemblyAI for transcription; transcript text, questions, and relevant meeting context are sent through our Cloudflare-hosted server to OpenAI to generate summaries, proactive advice, action items, and chat responses. Content can include personal information spoken or entered by you and other participants. Only share content you have permission to process, and inform participants and obtain recording permission where required.
The app requests permission before cloud AI processing. You can decline and continue accessing existing saved notes. You can withdraw permission in Settings; this blocks new cloud requests. It does not recall data already processed. AI processing consent is separate from optional advertising tracking consent.
Subscriptions and paywalls
Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat manages purchase verification, subscription status, restores, and access to paid features. RevenueCat processes an app-generated user identifier, transaction and product information, subscription status, and purchase history. Risenote does not receive your full payment-card details. Superwall displays paywalls and processes paywall interactions, subscription status, and the app user identifier. RevenueCat remains responsible for executing and verifying purchases. Our server checks your RevenueCat entitlement to authorize cloud features.
Optional Meta advertising measurement
On supported iOS versions, Risenote requests permission using Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. When authorized, Meta and RevenueCat may process advertising/device identifiers, a Meta app identifier, app activation and subscription events, trial starts, renewals, value, and currency to measure Risenote advertising. Meta can match these signals with activity from other apps and websites to attribute advertising results. Meeting recordings, transcripts, notes, questions, and AI advice are not included in this advertising integration.
You can decline tracking or change your choice in iOS Settings. Declining does not block purchases or app features. RevenueCat still processes subscription information needed to provide paid access. Advertising measurement may be incomplete when consent is unavailable or attribution cannot be matched.
Technical information
Our infrastructure and service providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as network requests, identifiers, errors, crash diagnostics, app and SDK information, and usage events. We use this information for functionality, security, troubleshooting, and analytics. We do not claim that all technical data is anonymous.
Retention and deletion
Saved meeting content remains on your device until you delete it. Device or operating-system backups may retain copies under your backup settings. Deleting a meeting does not cancel a subscription; subscriptions are managed in Apple's subscription settings.
Cloud providers may retain data under their service policies and our account configuration. OpenAI API content is not used for model training by default; abuse-monitoring retention can apply. AssemblyAI retention and model-improvement use depend on its service and account settings. We do not promise zero retention by these providers. Subscription records and technical information may be retained as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Contact us for access or deletion requests relating to data processed outside your device; some transaction records may need to be retained.
Your choices and rights
You can review, export, or delete saved meeting content in the app, decline or withdraw cloud AI consent, and control advertising tracking in iOS Settings. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or receive a portable copy of personal data, and to complain to your local supervisory authority. Contact theo.kramer.bus@gmail.com to make a request. We may need information to identify the relevant app or transaction records. We do not sell meeting content.
Security and international processing
We use encrypted network connections for cloud requests. No service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Processing is subject to applicable provider agreements and safeguards. Core processing supports the service you request; optional advertising tracking relies on your permission, and security processing protects the service.
Children
Risenote is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
